We announce the death of Elizabeth Adams of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on June 26, 2026, at the age of 93. Elizabeth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Lee and Gracie Owens Gilliam; her husband Darrel Adams; and her sons, Allen Lee Adams and David S. Adams.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela J. Rockwell of Hickory and Beverly Adams Peterson (Thomas) of Hickory; her grandchildren, David Allen Adams (Tracey), Luke Adams Peterson (Paxton) and Lacy Peterson Street (Morgan) of Hickory; her adoptive daughter Karen Teller of Lenoir; and her sisters, Mary Collins and Linda Scott (Phil). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
