It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Roxann Kirby Thawley of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on February 21, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Kirby and Coyet Mae Correll Kirby. She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Thawley of Berlin, MD; her grandson Jake of Berlin, MD; and her sisters, Brenda Kirby Vanhorn of Granite Falls, NC and Virginia Kirby Wall of Cocoa, FL.
