She was predeceased by: her father Paul Thompson Canipe Sr.; her husband Julius "Babe" "Rooster" T. Gross; and her son William "Billy" Gross Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Darlene Gilbert (Jeff) of Catawba and Michael "Bar Room" Gross (Sandy) of Hickory; her daughter-in-law Judy Gross of Ponchatoula, LA; her grandchildren, Tasha Bryant, Bill Gross, Jr., Misty Smith, Harley Gross and Hannah Gross; her great grandchildren, Lucas Gross, Terra Smith, Tessa Smith, Wade Gross and Emma Gilbert; and her siblings, Elizabeth Mathis, Carrie Vanhorn, Patricia Brown, Brenda Tarchala, Paul "Bud" Canipe and Carroll Canipe. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
