He was predeceased by: his parents, Buren R. Houston and Florence Addie Page Houston; and his siblings, Bob, Sam, Mickey, Jimmy Dean, Margaret and Wanda Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Myers Houston; his daughter Melinda Johnston (Bill) of Charlotte; his sister Frances Stephens of Hickory; and his grandchildren, Jessica Corrigan, Mallory Forsman (Carl) and Clayton Johnston (Lauren).
