It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Floy Eckard Starnes of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Heber Eckard and Sallie Pearl Keller Eckard; her husband Paul Junior Starnes; and her sons, Thomas Eugene Starnes and Stephen Paul Starnes.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Colson (Don) of Claremont, Lori Parker (Adrian) of Vale and Ronnie Starnes (Crystal) of Sparta, NC.; her brother Joe Eckard of Conover; and her grandchildren, Luke, Josh Parker, Melia Smith, Stacey Pollard and Stephanie Otto.
