With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fonda Kay Kirkpatrick Brittain of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2023 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Graham Horner Kirkpatrick and Edith Kennedy Kirkpatrick; and her brothers, Ronald Kirkpatrick (G. H. Kirkpatrick) and Junior. She is survived by: her husband Daniel Brittain; her sons, Daniel Kirk Brittain (Lisa) of Hickory, N. C. and David Lee Brittain of Hickory, N. C.; her granddaughters, Hannah Robinson and Lexie Robinson; her sisters-in-law, Sandra Kirkpatrick and Linda Kirkppatrick of Burlington, N. C; her nieces and nephews, Missy Kirkpatrick (Josh Lewis), Tripp Kirkpatrick (Teresa), Gray Kirkpatrick (Tina), Scott Kirkpatrick and Matt Kirkpatrick (Lisa); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Graham Kirkpatrick, Jaycy Kirkpatrick, Shay Kirkpatrick, Tray (Elizabeth Kirkpatrick), Mary Anna Kirkpatrick, Peter Kirkpatrick, Grace Kirkpatrick, Claire Kirkpatrick and Ladd Kirkpatrick; her nieces and nephews, Jeff Brittain (Ashley), Kathryn Cashion (Kevin), Hannah Cobb (Danny), Mary Lynn Gaines (Trent), Jennifer Jamison (Parker), Chris Chapin (Natalie), Andrew Chapin, Jackson Stamey and Jonathan Stamey (Kimberly); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Benjamin Brittain, Emmagrace Cobb, Jacob Brittain, Jonathan Brittain, Noah Brotherton, Brittain Gaines, Laura Gaines, Chloe Cobb, Autumn Chapin, Cecilia Chapin, Maximilian Chapin and Everleigh Jamison.
In lieu of sending flowers, her legacy can be honored through a donation to Corinth Reformed Church, 150 16th Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601, and Brittain Ministries.
