She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Davis and Margaret Byrd Davis; and her son Terry Lee Whitener. She is survived by: her husband George Lowrance Whitener; her children, Jerry Wayne Whitener (Linda) of Hickory and Margaret Mary Anne Buff of Hickory; and her siblings, Mitchell Davis (Barbara) of Richlands, VA, Doug Davis (Barbara) of Richlands, VA, Pat Shelton (Jerry) of Richlands, VA and Dot Corder (Dammon) of Richlands, VA. She is also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
