It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin Gaither Canipe of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on March 17, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin Canipe (Billie) and Susie Pruitt Canipe; and his wife Elizabeth Petty Canipe. He is survived by: his children, Debra Huffman of Drexel, Sherry Biddix (Carl) of Ocala, FL, Tonya Starbuck (James) of Connelly Springs, Billy Canipe of Hickory and Chris Canipe (Von) of George Hildebran. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Ronald McDonald House.
