He was predeceased by: his father Sanford Robert Gragg; his wife Ruth Stephens Gragg; his brothers, Burl, Roy, Bill, Sam, Frank, Jay and Luther Gragg; and his brother-in-law Larry Smith.

He is survived by: his siblings, Ruth Smith of Hudson, Mary Gragg Poore of Hudson and Eddie Gragg (Kathy) of Hickory; his siblings-in-law, Grady Stephens, Stella Stephens, Connie Stephens, Judy Kay Upton, Lucille Stephens Johnson and Doris Gragg; and his nephew Tim Johnson (Ruth) of Vale. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church.
