It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Frances Jones (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on February 20, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest Whitener and Carmen Whitener; and her parents-in-law, Irene Jones and Preston Jones. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Jones; her children, Wanda Jones (David Lackey), Tim (Cathy B.) of Hickory and Jeff (Cathy C.) of Hickory; her sisters, Sue Whitener Ward (Errol) of Hickory and Kay DelVechio-Brown (Neil) of Surfside; and her grandchildren, Derek, Josh (Brittany), Jenny (Adam), Ben (Racheal) and Brady (Lindsey). She is also survived by five nephews, and a large number of cousins.
