He is survived by: his wife Margaret Powers; his son Garner Warren Powers III (Keisha) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Preston Powers of Vale, Brenton Gragg (Haley) of Vale and Hailey Villegas (Skyler) of Zirconia; his great grandchildren, Roman, Silas and Kai; his niece Kim Growden (Mark) of Hudson; his great-niece Lauren Ledford of Hudson; and his cousin Brenda Haas (Bobby) of Hudson.
