Gary Lee Bray Obituary
We announce the death of Gary Lee Bray of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 74. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Harmon Bray and Agnes Wells Bray; and his siblings-in-law, Luzette Young, Melanie Young Sprinkle, Marcus Hensley, Sr., C. David Young and Marshall Dutton.
He is survived by: his wife Angel; his sons, Jennings Bray (Katherine Stimpson) of Belmont and Johnson Bray of Charlotte; his sister Patti Colbert (Grant) of Sarasota, Florida.; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Dutton, John Young (Rosemary), Elizabeth Hensley, Peggy Clinard, Rachel Johnson (Donnie), Rebecca Justice (Lyle) and Fred Young. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hickory Bible Church (909 U. S. Hwy 70 SW, Hickory, NC 28602). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
