He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Aubrey Moretz and Pauline Sipe Moretz; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Flythe. He is survived by: his children, Megan Watkins (Cameron), Jordan Moretz, Paige Crist (Landon) and Brandon Moretz; his grandchildren, James, Ruby, Kennedy, Holton, Berkley and Conrad; and his siblings, Anthony Moretz (Candy), Patrice Flythe, Keith Moretz (Shelley) and Kevin Moretz (Joni). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church (4420 County Home Rd, Conover, NC 28613). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
