With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George William Spencer of Hickory, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2026 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Lutz Spencer; and his sister Evelyn Kay Blevins. He is survived by: his wife Jean Winters Spencer; his son Jeff Spencer; his sister Alice Faye Keen; and his close friends, Tim and Debbie Bolick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
