He was predeceased by: his parents, George Brown, Sr. of Washington and Ethel Albright Brown; his grandmother Littlejohn Brown; and his siblings, Mildred B. Walsh, Frances B. Laubach, Christine Brown, Harold Brown and Gene Brown.
He is survived by: his children, George A. Brown (Sandra) of Hickory and Jean Brown of Durham, NC; his grandchildren, Robbie Griffin (Ashley) of Asheville, NC and Charlie Griffin (Jennifer) of Granite Falls, NC; his great grandchildren, Jenna, Jackson, Natalie and Hunter Griffin; and his brother Roger Brown of Kinston, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
