He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Kamp and Ruth Bolles Kamp; his wife Elianor Riley Kamp; and his brothers, Denis Kamp and John Kamp.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Crawford (Nick) of Hickory and Kristin Taylor (Craig) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Brittany Granger of Hickory and Tyler Granger of Raleigh; his great grandchild Ava Powell of Hickory; his stepgrandson Charlie Crawford of Chicago; his son-in-law Tom Granger of Hickory; and his sister Faith Carter of Tarpon Springs, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
