In the vast expanse of eternity, Ginger shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ginger farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She is survived by: her parents, Howard "David" Abernethy and Mary Ann Abernethy; her daughter Casey; her brother Mark Abernethy (Elaine); her nephew Brandon Abernethy (Andrea); and her great-nephews, Skylar and Dakota.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (8831 Old N C Hwy 10, Hildebran, NC 28637). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Catawba Valley or the Friends for Animals - Humane Society of Burke County. Keep Ginger's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
