She is survived by: her husband Tommy Towery; her daughters, Andrea Towery of Clemmons, NC and Amy Towery Mosteller (Daniel) of Asheville, NC; her grandson Jordan Towery of Hickory; her sisters, Janice Pope of Hickory and Judy Herring of Hickory; her sister-in-law Karen Towery; and her sister Susy Thompson of Hickory. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (547 6th St NW, Hickory, NC 28601). Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (366 4th St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
