It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Louise Derr of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Ralph Derr Sr.; and her siblings, Gladys Derr Crawley (Bea), Mary Mae Derr Penn, Ralph Derr Jr. and James Alfred Derr.
She is survived by: her sister Barbara Fish Derr of Raleigh, NC; her nieces, Audrey Reeves of Raleigh, NC, LaTonya Terry Fish of Raleigh, NC and Debra Derr of Raleigh, NC; her great-nephews, Tyron Reeves of Hickory and Travis Reeves (Monica) of South Carolina; her great-niece Jhari Mathes (Jason) of Washington, DC; her sister-in-law Colleen Derr (Ralph Jr.) of Hickory; and her close friends, Mary Beanie Reinhardt, Betty Lou Coleman McDowell of Hickory and Hattie Lee Thompson of Granite Falls, NC. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
