He was predeceased by: his mother Edna Lail Eckard; and his siblings, Carl, Ray, Jack, Donald, Jay, Irene, Pauline and Joann.
He is survived by: his father Arthur Eckard; his wife Jenny Eckard; his daughters, Dean Barnes (Stuart) of Taylorsville, Wendy Hart (Troy Fox) of Hickory and Andrea Rogers of Conover; and his grandchildren, Brittney, Brett, Brandon, April, Alyse and Ethan. He is also survived by loving father and grandfather.
