He is survived by: his parent Cleet Sisk Byrd; his daughter Regina Messina (Robert) of Hickory; his sister Wanda Lewis of Hickory; his grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Joseph Smith, Preston Byrd and Amber Byrd; and his stepgrandchildren, Brandon Messina and Angela Frederick (Gerald).
