He was predeceased by: his mother Viola Caston Owens; and his brothers, Dewey, Ernest, Lem, Landis and Arthur Owens.
He is survived by: his father Dewey Christopher Owens; his wife Alice Owens; his children, Carla Burns and Philip Owens (Susan); and his grandchildren, Alexis Burns, Jacob Burns, Sara Owens and Alysa Owens.
