With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Hubert Holsclaw of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2023 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Holsclaw and Ida Mae Cox Holsclaw; his former wife Joann Pope Holsclaw; his siblings, Jim, Frank, Paul, Ray, Charles Holsclaw and Martha "Gabby" Warren; his grandson Nicholas Bowman; and his son-in-law Carl Hedrick.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Pennell Holsclaw; his children, Cindy Davis Bowman Hedrick of Statesville, Teresa Davis of Newton and Mark Holsclaw; his great grandchild Crissy Holsclaw; his siblings, Vergie Kanipe (Larry) of Hickory and Claude "Doc" Holsclaw of Brookford; and his stepdaughters, Leah Long and Candace Teague. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
