It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hubert Gene Brooks of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on November 25, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Revels Brooks. He is survived by: his father Hubert Marvin Brooks of Hickory; his wife Sherry Bumgarner Brooks; his daughter Gena Hoffman (Robert) of Allentown, PA; his grandchildren, Adelaide Hoffman, Charlotte Hoffman, Wellington Hoffman, Maxwell Hoffman and Alexander Hoffman; his brother David Brooks (Linda) of Hickory; and his nieces, Karri Deptola (Stephen) of Colorado and Carmen Brooks of Mooresville.
