She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Beasley and Polly Ann Stevenson Beasley; her husband William Ralph Craig; and her daughter Joyce Irene Craig Killian of San Antonio, TX. She is survived by: her children, Glynis Poovey (Barry) of Hickory and Carl G. Craig (Vicky); her son-in-law Dennis Killian of San Antonio, TX; her grandchildren, Ronda Reid (Timothy), Carla Manna (Angelo), Jennifer Vazquez (Roger), Kelly Cope (Dave), Carey Harris (Pete) and Casey Craig (Lindsay); her great grandchildren, Caroline Reid, Ethan Reid, Luke Manna, Holden Manna, Christian Vazquez, Ashlynn Vazquez, Elle Harris, Lucy Harris, Max Harris, Maybelle Cope, Adelynn Cope, Greyson Craig and Raines Craig; and her sister-in-law Kathleen C. Reese.
Due to inclement weather and Covid, the family has requested a closed casket visitation at 10:00 am to 11:30 am in the chapel of Catawba Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, Hickory, NC in Irene's name.
