James Leroy Miller Obituary

James "Jimmy" Leroy Miller, age 73, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Carolina Rehab of Burke in Connelly Springs. He was born January 30, 1949 in Catawba County to the late Leroy Miller Jr., and Dorothy Hall Miller. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Terry Miller and wife Susan.

Mr. Miller was a rebel and lived his life his own way, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing bingo and poker, and visiting flea markets on the weekend. He was the owner of Barbara's Diner in Bethlehem and enjoyed serving his community. James will be remembered for the love and devotion he had for his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Jamie Bair and husband Marcus of Hickory; one brother, Larry Miller and wife Gesila of Hickory; two sisters, Janice Whitener and husband William of Bethlehem, Donna Young and husband, Jim of Newton; three grandchildren, Joseph Miller, Steven Miller, Jonathan Miller; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
