He was predeceased by: his son Jeffery Allen Doody. He is survived by: his parents, Allen Doody and Linda Emmons Doody of Hickory; his aunt Gail Emmons of Newton; his daughter Skylar Suzanne Doody of Vale; and his close friend Chris Hamby of Gastonia.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601). Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home - Jack Bass Memorial Building (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
