She was predeceased by: her parents, Roby Leonard and Cenia Hatley Ritch; her husband Harold Dean Eckard; and her siblings, Hermon, Henry, Leonard, Calvin, Spencer, Richard, Jesse, Earl, Sarah Louise, Frances and Jane.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dean Barnes (Stuart) of Taylorsville, Wendy Hart (Troy Fox) of Hickory and Andrea Rogers of Conover; her grandchildren, Brittney, Brett, Brandon, April, Alyse and Ethan; her great grandchildren, Brittany, Colby, Claire, Grace, John Henry, Navie, Hudson, Landon and Haydon; her sister Pearl Crandle; and her sister-in-law Jennie Ritch.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hickory Funeral Home (1031 11th Ave Blvd SE, Hickory, NC 28602). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (3120 Falling Creek Rd, Hickory, NC 28601).
