It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Michael Brittain of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Jimmy Bennett Brittain; his uncle McCarthy "Mac" Browning; his aunt Carolyn "Crick" Browning; and his brother Everett Browning. He is survived by: his wife Carol Gibson Brittain; his children, Jimmy Michael Brittain, Jr., Ken Wilson, James "Jimmy" Adkins (Shannon), Kyle Adkins (Deana), Jeff Adkins (Becca), Kevin Adkins and Jamie Adkins; his sister Vickie Brittain Effler (Johnny Effler); and his sister-in-law Teresa Browning.
Memorials may be made to Mountain View Baptist Church or Carolina Caring hospice.
