As we bid adieu to Joanne Mackey's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Joanne Mackey has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Mackey and Grace Mackey; her husband Joseph Testerman; and her brother Nelson Mackey. She is survived by: her daughter Carole Ellis (Richard); and her siblings, Maxine Rudisill (Allen) and John "Tommy" Mackey (Judy). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army of Hickory, NC.
