He is survived by: his wife Gloria Elmore Stirewalt; his children, Cynthia Voegeli of Morganton, Mark Stirewalt (Kim) of Hildebran, Leigh Anderson of Granite Falls and Carrie Ammons of Connelly Springs; and his brother Howard Stirewalt (Priscilla) of Hildebran. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
