It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edney Wise of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Edney Wise to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Guy Wise and Sallie Hoover Wise; and his siblings, Robert George Wise, Helen Wise Peeler and Betty Wise Bolick.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Duke Peeler (Myrl), Doug Wise (Kathy Dellinger), Tim Wise, Michael Bolick (Vicki), Donna Strong (Murray) and Lynda McKeown (Jim). He is also survived by three great-nephews; one great-niece; three great-great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel (125 Dave Warlick Dr, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
