He is survived by: his children, John Kirk Powell III (Deidra), Jeromy Allen Powell and Shannon Powell Radford (Troy); his grandchildren, Lexi Powell, Nathan Minton, Dalton Powell, Landon Powell, Cassidy Sigmon and Kiera Powell; his great grandchild Grayson; and his siblings, Janice Carswell (Dan) and James "Jimmy" Powell.
