He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend William C. Wood and Lois Howell Wood. He is survived by: his wife Marcella Houston Wood; his brother William C. Wood II (Linda) of Cedar Falls; and his stepdaughters, Marci Sigmon (Brian) of Hickory, Tonya Rash (Paul) of Winston Salem and Cindy Dillard (Richard) of Yadkinville, NC. He is also survived by seven step grandchildren, and three nieces and nephews.
