He was predeceased by: his father Bill Brookshire; and his brother Roger Brookshire. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Brookshire (Trudy) of Granite Falls, Kaye Ferree (Bob) of Summerfield, NC and Kelli Gracely (Kevin) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Kaylee and Shelby Brookshire; his children, Daniel, Meredith Ferree, Johnny and Camille Gracely; and his sisters, Shirley Gray and Sandy Barlowe.
