He is survived by: his mother Roberta Cooper; his wife Roberta "Lynn" Sumpter Cooper; his children, Christian Cooper, Aerieonna Buchanan and Rhylan Buchanan; his brother Jason Cooper (Stephanie); his grandmother Esther Rawlins; his uncles, Barry Rawlins and Stephen Rawlins; and his close friends, Rocky and Grevin Bravo. He is also survived by father to his three children.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (237 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
