She was predeceased by: her parents, James Allen and Lilly Christine Stafford Houston; her husband Henderson Frank Teague Jr.; her sisters, Alice Bowman, Nellie Teague and Patsy Pennington; her daughters-in-law, Pauline Holtsclaw Teague and Debbie Watts Teague; and her granddaughter Barbara Jean Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Teague (Emily) of Hickory, Joyce Teague Hefner (Robert Gary) of Conover, Frank Teague of Hickory, Joann Teague Roberts (Dennis) of Hickory and Phyllis Teague Starnes (Lee) of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, Crystal Dieter, Brian Hefner (Paula), Micheal Hefner, Ron Teague Mike (Emily), Carl Athey (Stefanie), Bethany Lingle (Derrick), Meleah Huffman (Joseph), Julie Hepler (Ronnie), Andy Secrest (Beth) and Danny Roberts; and her brothers, James Houston, Tommy Houston and Floyd Houston. She is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Mountain Grove Baptist Church (6156 Mountain Grove Rd, Hickory, NC 28602). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
