The passing of Katherine Russell Snipes of Hickory, North Carolina leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hesba Sessoms and Robert Russell; her husbands, Carney Lee Fann, Larry E. Barringer and Charles M. Snipes; and her siblings, Lorraine Hatley, Pat Sessoms, Sylvia Hall, Bill Russell and Tommy Russell.
She is survived by: her daughter Sabrina McClamrock (Kim) of Hickory; her grandsons, Matthew Soots Jr. of Hickory and Adam McClamrock (Charlene) of Hickory; her children, Nikki McClamrock and James Lee Fann of Greensboro; her great grandchildren, Katherine McClamrock, Levi McClamrock, Dekada McClamrock and Callia Loritts; and her close friend Nancy Boyd. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church (52 16th Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601). Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Katherine's honor to the Alzheimer's Association or to St. Lukes United Methodist Church. Keep Katherine's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
