With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathy Philyaw Speagle of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on August 11, 2022 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Claude Philyaw; and her brother Barry Philyaw. She is survived by: her mother Katherine Hewitt Philyaw of Maiden; her husband Wayne Speagle; her sons, Aaron Speagle of Hickory and Casey Speagle of Hickory; and her brother Randy Philyaw (Maxine).
