He is survived by: his wife Michelle Berta Williams; his children, Troy Lance Berta of Morganton, Patrick Berta of Beckley, WV., Allison Gardiner (Andrew) of Morganton, Hollie Doss of Vale and Natasha Williams of Virginia Beach, VA; and his grandchildren, Callaway Donnelly, Andrew Gardiner Jr., Haven Goode, Griffin Goode, Alistair Goode, Kerrigan Berta and Kyleigh Berta.
