He is survived by: his wife Lindsay Winebarger Hinson; his children, Samuel Hinson of Catawba, Ethan Rice of Hickory, Brianna Rice of Hickory, Serenity Hinson of Hickory and Trinity Hinson of Hickory; his siblings, Jeremy Hinson and Ashley Hinson; his sister-in-law Maranda (Shawn Bolick); his nieces and nephews, Gracie, Cindy, Destiny, Luke, Jax and Owen; Bill Merbach, Jr..
