He was predeceased by: his father Deacon James Rippy; his brothers, James Rippy Jr., Eugene Rippy and Bill Rippy; and also Bobby Rippy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Hillman Rippy; his children, Jeffrey Scott Rippy and Monique Rippy (Georgia); and also Lillie Rippy. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Temple of Refuge (724 S Center St, Hickory, NC 28602).
