It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian Thacker of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Stepp and Fanny Stepp; her husband Jim Thacker; her daughters, Elise Gilbert and Linda Cornell; and her brothers, Russell Stepp and Clarence Stepp.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Matthews (Bruce) of Claremont, Paula Hughes of Conover, Leslie Green (Kelly) of Granite Falls, Lester Green of Hickory and Bobby McFarland of Hickory; and her siblings, Elizabeth Shelton of Hildebran, Loyd Stepp of Hickory, Jimmy Stepp of Raleigh, Floyd Stepp of Raleigh, Bill Stepp of Glen Alpine, Kenneth Stepp of Tennessee and Dan Stepp of Connelly Springs. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
