She was predeceased by : her father Charles Baxter Winn, II; and her parents-in-law, Wallie Joe and Pauline Shook (Polly). She is survived by : her husband Christopher Michael Shook; her sons, Joseph Charles Shook (Jess) of Wilmington, NC, Jacob Edward Shook of Wilmington, NC and Michael Christopher Shook of Wilmington, NC; her grandson Theodore Sunny Shook (Charles); her siblings, Charles Baxter Winn III, Stephen G Winn (Angie) and Sandy Winn Green; her stepmother Rosemary Britt Winn; her stepsiblings, Angie Freeman (John), JoAnn Maibohm (Jergan) and Danny Morgan (Margie); her sister-in-law Polly Shook Johnston (Keevan); and her pets, Boston Terriers, Dutch and Ruth. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Linda's memory to Safe Harbor of NC, 112 2nd Ave SE, Hickory NC (Donations can be made online at safeharbornc.org.) or Hickory Bible Church.
