She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Clifton Huffman and Jennie Lineberger Huffman; her husband Hanley Hayes Painter; and her siblings, Horace, Jerry and Suzanne.
She is survived by: her son Dr. Charles Nathan Painter; her grandchildren, Demi Good (Nathan), Hayesly Good and Cliff Painter; her great grandchild Roman Painter of Virginia; her daughter Dr. Janet Fern Painter of Hickory; her brother Dan Huffman (Linda) of Conover; and her sister-in-law Peggy Huffman of Hickory.
