It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Farthing Wilson King of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Farthing and Tressie Phillips Farthing; her daughter Linda Faye Wilson West; her grandchildren, Heather West and Ashley Propst; and her siblings, Ruby Lee Farthing Staton, Mary Sue Farthing Dugger and John Farthing.

She is survived by: her husband Bobby Ray King; her children, Mary Wilson Wooten and Donald Ted Wilson (Gaye) of Lenoir, NC; her stepdaughters, Pamela Lynn King Waggoner (Richard) of Cary, NC and Mitzi Kaye King of Wake Forest, NC; and her grandchild Lindsay Wilson Mitchell (James) of Granite Falls. She is also survived by three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Hickory Baptist Church, Music Department, and Lottie Moon, 40 12th St., NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
