She is survived by: her sibling Chile; her son Bill Johnston of Hickory; her husband Granville Johnston; her son Scott Johnston (Dwanda); her granddaughters, Alyssa Dale (Daniel) and Catherine Mellon (Nick); and her great grandchildren, Carleigh and Elijah Dale.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hickory Seventh Day Adventist Church in Luisa's name.
