She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Mingus and Ruth Briggs; her son Clayton Hefner; and her siblings, Marie Mingus, Jack Mingus, James Mingus, Charles Mingus and Kenneth Mingus.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Thoman (Keith) and James Hefner; her granddaughter Jessica Stephens; and her sister-in-law Diane Mingus.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Catawba Memorial Park (3010 U. S. Hwy 70 SW, Hickory, NC 28602).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring or Safe Harbor's ReSource (Woman's Resource Center).
