She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Manuel Spencer and Ethel Bowman Spencer; her sons, William Eugene Richey and Steve Allen Richey; her grandson Tim Scronce; her son-in-law Joe Scronce; and her siblings, Fannie Spencer, Lucy Wilkie, Kindola Echard, Mary Lee Heavener, Rachel Houston, Shirley Raby, Allie Spencer, Cromer Spencer, Clyde McCoy Spencer (Coy) and Jimmie Manuel Spencer (Bud).
She is survived by: her children, Marie Scronce of Vale, Betty Helton (Roy) of Bethlehem, Helen Bowman (Floyd) of Bethlehem, Ann Sigmon of Bethlehem, Brenda Sigmon (Larry) of Lenoir and Gary Richey (Tootsie) of Lenoir; her daughter-in-law Sandy Richey of Taylorsville; and her siblings-in-law, Bob Raby of Hickory, Betty Spencer of Taylorsville and Joan Spencer of Florida. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
