He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Hatley and J. D. Hatley; his siblings, Edward Hatley and Elizabeth Dellinger; his niece Lisa Owens; and his brother-in-law Royce Rink.
He is survived by: his brothers, Larry Hatley of Newton, Jerry Hatley, Ray Hatley (Norma) of Vilas, NC and Gary Hatley (Martha) of Taylorsville; his fiancée Amber Davis of Statesville; his brother-in-law Leroy Dellinger of Hickory; and his sisters, Rebecca Rink, Rosa Owens (Ronnie) of Hickory and Janet Presnell (Randall) of Vilas, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
